I'm just curious to know how many people actually knew this stuff existed.
OK, this is the outlet just rear of the cylinder. Does it clutter it up?? I guess it does some, but not as much as it appears in these images. And it actually exhausts just below the passenger floorboard, not onto it. Also, and key here, is I'm told it's successfully ducts all heat away.
Just above the rear exhaust pipe you see a grating.....that's the air intake to drag air across the pipe and through the fan and out the other side. Don't get nervous, it ducts down on the other side.....look at the left side image.
If you look between the exhaust pipe and the front cylinder you'll notice some ducting, that grabs the air coming off the radiator and routes it downward away from the rider. That's step one. To do this, they relocated the radiator a bit forward.
What you can see is the storage pocket; what you can't see are the adjustments for horizontal and vertical.....nicely done. By the way, the wrinkles and shiny stuff are only available on this pre-production model, the final production version will be smooth and clean {;>)
Good news: the backrest has completed engineering and test and is in production. Should be available in six to eight weeks. You can't tell from here, but it's a quick release set-up, just slides down and locks in place, then you just trip the trigger and slide it back out.
Here's the rider's viewpoint. It'll definitely keep you alert.
Here's the rear view of the green/black Vaq and you can see what's missing: the black. Truth told, I ihgt be the only one hung up on that since the rest of the people there seemed to be ok with it. The reaction on the floor is about the same as within VROC: 50-50.
Here's the detail of the graphic on the Vaq. The "yellow" highlights are lighting artifacts (I have no filters with me), the color is actually the darker looking green. That stripe looks like it's peeling and chipping, but got a loit of positive comments including from me. I like it.

This is the 900 Custom SE for this year and I haven't quite made up my mind about it. Striking contrast with the orange and flat/gloss black and I think it's growing on me. It definitely got attention and most of the remarks I heard were positive.
This is a nice looking 900. Lots of blacked out areas that would normally be chrome, combined with the grey/white paint scheme and whitewalls make for an old school look.
This is the front view and you can't tell it's a two--toned bike except for the lower radiator shroud. I really wish they'd have added some black touches to the front of the fairing. The rear view is much the same, I'll add that view tomorrow.
